This year, the organizers of the World Ringette Championships are taking an important step to foster a safer event culture by appointing a designated harassment contact person. This individual will be present at the venue to ensure that every participant can enjoy the championship atmosphere safely and respectfully.

“The World Ringette Championships are a celebration for the entire international ringette community, and we want to ensure the event is safe for all participants. The presence of a harassment contact person is an important part of this goal,” says Herttaliisa Tuure, Head of Safety for the Championships and Executive Director of the Finnish Ringette Association.

The harassment contact person will be available throughout the event to provide support to anyone who experiences or witnesses harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior. All discussions are confidential, and individuals will receive support in handling the situation.

The contact person can be reached during the championship week by phone or in person. They can also be contacted via the online form available on the event website. The form will be published before the WRC week.
