Ottawa, ON– Ringette Canada is pleased to announce the 20 athletes selected to the Junior National Team, who will represent Canada at the 2025 World Ringette Championships. The Championships will take place at Isku Arena, in Lahti, Finland, from November 3 – 9, 2025.
“I am honoured and excited to work with this group of talented athletes,” said Head Coach Andrea Ferguson. “This is a new team with a shared dream and I’m looking forward to chasing greatness together.”
“We would like to extend our congratulations to the athletes selected to wear the maple leaf and represent Canada,” said Peter Leyser, Ringette Canada’s Chief Executive Officer. “We look forward to supporting this incredible group of athletes and staff as they prepare to compete at the highest level in Lahti.”
Kaylee Armstrong, Sydnie Rock, and Lauren Schoenhofen return from the 2023 Junior National Team. The team also consists of a number of athletes who participated in the 2023 U18 International Development program, as well as past U17 La Relève development programs.
Andrea Ferguson (Winnipeg, MB) leads the Junior National Team as head coach, and is joined by assistant coaches Keely Brown (Edmonton, AB), Colleen Hagan (Ottawa, ON), and Donnell Schoenhofen (Regina, SK). Melinda Krulicki (Red Deer, AB) is the team’s athletic therapist, Brooke Simard (Calgary, AB) is the team’s Strength and Conditioning Coach, Casey Turner (Ottawa, ON) is the team’s Mental Performance Coach, and Jocelyn Macleod (Winnipeg, MB) is the Team Manager.
